The International Labour Day was celebrated on the 1st of May, 2023 by the children of Junior School Study Hall and Dosti with great joy and enthusiasm.
On this day, the children showed their gratitude to their Didis and Bhaiyas for all the hard work they put in, day after day. The children highlighted the fact that they had a major role to play in ensuring that the school was functioning smoothly.
Very lovingly, the children escorted them to the front seats and put up a truly delightful dance performance in their honour. The children left no stone unturned to make them feel special and valued. They had made several beautiful cards and hand made gifts for their loving Didis and Bhaiyas. The loving gestures of the children touched their hearts deeply and they thanked the little ones from the bottom of their hearts.
We are proud to note that our children are growing up to be warm, caring and empathetic individuals.
The children of Study Hall Junior School and Dosti celebrated the International Dance Day on the 29th of April with great enthusiasm. The young ones of classes 1 to 5 took us back to our childhood as they presented a delightful fusion of Kathak, Bharatnatyam and Western dance which was greatly enjoyed by the audience. As soon as the clock struck ten and the music started playing, in a flash mob, the enthusiastic children came out in the corridors, the stage and onto the grounds and danced to their hearts’ content. Very soon, they were joined by their seniors who were also delighted to shake a leg. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and there was a smile on every face.
To mark the occasion of World Book and Copyright Day, Study Hall School organized various activities throughout the week which included Role Play on a Book character,Book Cover painting, slogan writing,Digital Book Jacket designing,Book talk and impersonification of an author. These activities immensely helped inculcating reading habits among the students
“Parents and teachers need to work together to bring about the holistic development of the children. We at Study Hall not only work for the growth of our children but also for the personal flourishing of our associated Parents”, said Dr. Urvashi Sahni while inaugurating the event ” Ek Shaam Mausiqi Ke Naam”, at Study Hall School on 23rd April, 2023.
The Mothers’ committee of the school in association with Mr. Bhartendu Kashyap, Mrs. Rana Khan and Mrs. Sameera organised the event not only to highlight the Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb but also to provide a stage to the parents to showcase their talents, to set an example for the children to go beyond their comfort zone to achieve what is impossible.
The spectrum of gender equality was reflected by the efforts put in by the Father community too. Mr. David George, Mr. Azeem mersmerised the audience with their presentations while Dr. Biju Bhagwati , the classical Indian music teacher created an atmosphere of enthusiasm and rapture.
When the reigns of organising the show lay in the hands of mothers, females had to be the show stoppers! Mrs. Divya Bhattacharya, Dr. Bhavna Srivastava, Mrs. Swamita Singh, Mrs Yashoda gripped the audience with their power packed performances. Mrs Payal Mall David, Mrs. Stuti Srivastava and Ms. Anushri , the nightingales of Study Hall proved that music is in their blood. The audience couldn’t stop themselves from grooving to the Sufiana tunes of Mrs. Payal Dhanani.
Mrs. Padma Gidwani, with her lovely, rich, luscious voice inspired every single soul sitting in the audience. Mrs. Padma Gidwani is a famous and loved singer at Aakashwani and Doordarshan, Lucknow.
Dr. Biju Bhagwati, Mr. Sarthak George and Mr. Sarthak Dubey stood as pillars of support for all the presenters with their musical instruments. Mrs. Twinkle was inspired too, to present her talent on stage.
Mrs. Meenakshi Bahadur, principal Study Hall School truly appreciated the participation of the parents by complementing “Bahut sukoon mila jo aapne hame apna samjha.” It has been with her efforts and motivation that the bond between the school and the parents has been strengthened.
At the end all the parents were felicitated by Dr. Sahni and Mrs. Bahadur for sparing their valuable time. Art, Poetry, Music- act like a magic key to which most tightly locked heart opens to!
The Junior School of Study Hall organised a family bonding talent time – ‘Hunar Mela’ on Sunday, the 19th of March. The idea behind the event was to get parents, grand parents and other family members of our children to display their varied talents with immense enthusiasm. The children of classes 1 to 5 and Dosti (the unit for Special children of SHEF) participated in resounding numbers. The Principal, Mrs Meenakshi Bahadur inaugurated the event by reciting a self composed poem. Several skills like singing, experiments, dancing, acting, story telling, non flame cooking, art, craft, best out of waste were displayed very creatively. It was a morning full of fun, frolic and snacking on the grounds of Study Hall which left the audience asking for more! The Head Mistress of the Junior School, Mrs Bani Malhotra, with a keen eye for detail, ensured that the event turned out to be a stupendous success.
One of the most looked forward events of the year, the annual Study Hall Fete 2023 kicked off with fine weather and blasting start. The fete was a live example of how proper planning and team work can make a huge difference in a day. The school wore a festive yellow look with plenty of stalls for games, entertainment and food . Our teachers and students and this time our Mothers committee too were involved in running these stalls very efficiently by putting their heart and soul into it. The parents and kids had a gala time who rejuvenated sweet memories of their good old days.
To extol achievements and bravado of our young athletes and swimmers, a prize distribution ceremony was held on 3rd February in Study Hall campus.This event truly showcased the commitment that all our StudyHallians have shown towards various individual and team events of Basketball, Volleyball and other Swimming and track and field events. We acknowledge the efforts of our esteemed Sports Teachers, House Incharges, sports captains, vice captains and sports mentors. Heartiest congratulations to all our winners 🏆
Class 4 conducted a special assembly to celebrate 74th Republic day on 25th January.Our children highlighted the importance of our constitution and made them aware of their fundamental rights and duties.They performed a street play with the slogan
“Future bright Future bright Do your duties Know your rights”
They emphasized that rights always comes with responsibilities.The six fundamental rights were displayed on placards.The school corridors echoed as they marched and shouted the slogans amidst the cheering and clapping of children.
Convocation regalia added another splash of colour to the Study Hall campus on Friday, 30th December, 2022, from 2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. when around 250 students from classes X and XII were felicitated at the Convocation Ceremony. The pass-out batch was invited along with their parents to attend the ceremony. Mr. Asim Arun, Minister of State (Independent charge) Social Welfare, presided over the function as the Chief Guest. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, along with all the heads of different units of SHEF(Study Hall Educational Foundation). Study Hall faculty was honoured and applauded for their hard work and untiring efforts as they marched in a procession with grace and elan.This was followed by the procession of students who had to be felicitated. The Principal, Mrs. Meenakshi Bahadur, extended a warm welcome to all the guests and spoke at length about the school and its achievements. The Chief Guest and the Principal were invited to felicitate the meritorious students of the batch 2020-2021. The motivational mantra for success by Mr. Asim Arun received a loud applause from one and all. A short cultural programme, which included an inspirational song and dance, enthralled the audience. The pass out batch was conferred with medals and certificates, as a mark of honour, for their achievements. Some ex-students of classes X and XII shared their experiences and talked about their nostalgic journey at Study Hall. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by the Vice-Principal, Mrs. Meenakshi Shah. She thanked the guests and students whose presence had made the event memorable in every possible manner.
For two millennia now, people around the world have been observing Christmas with immense delight and ecstasy. 24 December, 2022, was surely a day that went down into Study Hall School’s wondrous history.
The various clubs did indeed put together a joyful show. The Literacy Club students exhibited different genres through the all-time effective means of fascinating skits. The day was made even more special when the seniors and the juniors ….Boys and Girls… put their heads together to make the most scrumptious cakes and pizzas for the entire Study Hall family. Well, hats off to the Cookery Club! Furthermore, the melodious Santa-capped choir definitely presented a charismatic show. The students had fun sharing the merriment together while grooving to the tunes of Jingle Bells, Joy to the World, Feliz Navidad and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. All were on their feet, applauding as the Western Music Club’s performance concluded the day’s celebration. But then…HO HO HO! The essence of Christmas came alive when “Santa Clause” herself arrived and thrilled the students with Christmas goodies 🧑🎄 🌲🌲
