MICRO OLYMPICS

MICRO OLYMPICS, the much awaited and Covid delayed Athletic cum Field Display Meet of Study Hall was held on Saturday, 10 December, 2022 at the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Gomtinagar.The meet was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr. Sanjay Kumar IPS, DIG, ITBP, Lucknow Sector who also took the salute of the impressive March Past by the students. The Mangalam by class 8 which was well appreciated was followed by the activities of the DOSTI students with encouragement from the cheerleaders and applause from the audience. In the display section Zumbaile by class 6 and Samagam by class 7 was highly acclaimed. The races drew great excitement amongst the children who vociferously cheered the participants. The agile and co-ordinated display by the young Gymnasts won the hearts of the audience. Jingling Cymbals by class 9 was followed by the Prize Distribution. The meet closed with a speech by the Chief Guest followed by the National Anthem.
The sports field has not just been about wins and losses but students have learnt the core values of discipline, cooperation, coordination and tolerance.

They have also learnt the lessons of being perfect democratic citizens by showing grace and forbearance even if not having secured a place on the victory stand.

Annual Concert

The children of Study Hall Junior School and Dosti enthralled the audience on the 18th and 19th of November, with their Annual Concert DANCING PRANCING COLOURS held at the Sant Gadge Auditorium.
The young ones of classes 1 to 5 took us back to our childhood as they presented a delightful melange of music and dance which was greatly enjoyed by the audience.

Study Hall Junior School Enthrals the Audience Yet Again!!

 Study Hall Junior School held its Annual Concert on the 18th and 19th of November 2022 at the Sant Gadge Auditorium in Gomti Nagar. DANCING PRANCING COLOURS was the theme of the programme which took us back to our childhood. The children of classes 1-5 presented a delightful melange music and dance which truly enthralled the audience.

The little ones of Class 1 won the hearts of the audience with their delightfully peppy songs and dances. The dance on ‘Papa ki Pari’ touched an emotional cord and gave everyone goosebumps. The children of class 2 displayed their dramatic skills in the ‘nautanki’ with great finesse. The students of class 3 showed their sports skills and were highly appreciated by the audience. The children of Class 4 performed two very energetic dances which were a sight to behold. The Breathless Dance left the audience in awe as the students of class 5 performed with perfect synchronisation. The Tongue Twisters and the Read Aloud presentations found the audience listening to the children with bated breath.

The children of Dosti and Pipersand delighted the audience with two of the beautiful songs, a dance and a magic show. The young ones of classes 1 to 5 were part of the school choir and represented a medley of old songs which was greatly enjoyed by everyone.

The various dance forms like the Kathak, Bengali and Hariyanvi presentations left the audience spellbound. The time and energy invested by the teachers was clearly visible in the delightful presentations by the children and the enthusiastic response of the audience.

Brain O Brain Competition

Several children of Study Hall Junior School participated in the Brain-o-Brain online competition.
They made their school proud by winning many medals and prizes.

DANDIYA NIGHT

Navratri has always been synonymous with vibrancy and excitement. After a two year break, Dandiya night, the dance and music festival of Study Hall was celebrated on Saturday1 October 2022 in the school premises. The revellers got set to reverberate to pulsating garba and dandiya raas beats. The navratri celebrations had the participants, all dressed up in colourful attires, dancing to the foot tapping music. The stalls of delicious food were enjoyed by one and all. It was an evening of dance, music and happiness.

दशहरा -२०२२

विजयदशमी के अवसर पर दिनांक ३०.९.२२ को विद्यालय में रामलीला का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें कक्षा चार व कक्षा पाँच के बच्चों ने भाग लिया ।
रामलीला को नृत्यनाटिका के माध्यम से प्रस्तुत किया गया ।
रामायण की चौपाइयां गा कर बच्चों ने नृत्य द्वारा रामलीला दर्शाई ।
बच्चों ने बताया कि राम व रावण दोनों हमारे भीतर वास करते हैं तो इस अंधकार रूपी रावण को सत्य की लौ से जला देना चाहिए ।
बच्चों ने प्रण लिया कि वे हमेशा सत्य के मार्ग पर चलेंगे व दूसरों की सहायता करेंगे । यही इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य है और दशहरा मनाने का भी ।
कार्यक्रम के अंत में
प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती मीनाक्षी बहादुर व जूनियर स्कूल की हेड मिस्ट्रेस श्रीमती बानी मल्होत्रा ने बच्चों को आशीर्वाद दिया व बच्चों द्वारा की गई इस रामलीला की भरपूर प्रशंसा करी ।

World Car Free day

Today , on 22nd of September, the first graders of Study Hall celebrated the World Car Free day with aplomb. To sensitise the parents and children, Car free week was observed with regular appeals to the parents to try to go car free at least one day a week.

With a song and a Rally around the school ground. The children shared the impact of going car free on the roads, on the trees, on the ears and on the air. They spoke about how the environment would benefit and there would be less Pollution.

Cyber Security

The digital world provides many conveniences, but also poses risks that often go unknown or unnoticed. Well, if we all take simple steps to be safer online, it makes using the Internet a more secure experience for us. With this aim Study Hall School organized a workshop on the topic “Fundamental of Online Safety and Responsible Digital Engagement” for the students of grade-11th on 15th September 2022. Speaker of the workshop was Mr. K. Sanjay Kumar IPS,
DIG, The Indo-Tibetan Border Police.
He is well-known Cybersecurity analyst and investigator especially online crimes against women and children. He is also the author of best seller book “IS YOUR CHILD SAFE?” related to online abuses affecting children.
Cyber hygiene is of increasing importance due to the rise in reliance on digital equipment and programs to manage the daily lives of students, including the transmission and storage of personal information. Workshop aimed at increasing the understanding of cyber threats and empowering the students to be safer and more secure online. Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility, and the students were given insights on how important it is for them while using social media platforms and be safe. Speaker also talked about how the students can contribute their part to keep the internet safe and how to avoid situations that might put their lives at risk. The adverse effects of excessive screen time and how it affects adolescents was explained by taking examples and case studies. The students were given insight about cyberbullying and how it is associated with psychological distress and how to take preventive measures.

MATH FESTIVAL

The MATH FESTIVAL was celebrated on the 27th of August, 2022 by the children of Junior School, Study Hall with great zest and enthusiasm.
The children highlighted the fact that Math is all
around us and is an integral part of our daily lives. They explained the mathematical concepts which were taught to them in the class, in a very simple and fun filled way. The parents were delighted to watch their children play their parts with immense confidence.
Many of them wished that they would have studied in a school like Study Hall.

Open House

Study Hall opened its portals to invite one and all especially parents to an Open House on Saturday, 27th August ,2022 to be a part of their child’s school life and peep into the school’s functioning. It would foster an understanding of the ethos of the school and the teaching pedagogy for different subjects. Sights and sounds from the playground, the labs and the classrooms were very welcoming and the parents were more than happy to be a part of this experience.
They witnessed some real , live action in the classrooms. It took them down memory lane and they revisited their childhood sitting at the back of the classrooms. The parents appreciated the efforts put in by the teachers in the candid feedback forms and offered valuable suggestions. A parent said, ” We observed the science class and found that the teacher was explaining the concept of breathing very well with the help of a model. It is a very good practice as visual aids are good for remembrance and better understanding. “
It gave the school management some serious food for thought and a pat on the back.
