Independence Day

The 77th Independence Day was celebrated by the children of Junior School and Dosti, Study Hall with great enthusiasm. A Special Assembly was conducted by the students of Classes 4 and Dosti, highlighting the importance of the sacrifices made by our brave freedom fighters who laid down their lives so that we could live in an independent nation. We are proud to mention here that the children put in a lot of hard work to make this program a resounding success.
The programme began with a prayer.
A student of Class 4 led the audience to take the Green Pledge to be true citizens of our beloved country. This was followed by some soul stirring speeches by a few children who shared their views on the benefits of being born in a free country.
The School Choir and the children from Dosti paid their homage to our freedom fighters by singing a song and through the recitation of a poem.
A skit enacted by the children of Class 4 aroused feelings of patriotism in the audience. A mind blowing dance by the little ones of Classes 1 to 5 and Dosti mesmerized the audience. The energetic dance on a foot tapping number by the children touched the hearts of the audience.
The programme was concluded by our dear Meenakshi Aunty blessing the children and reminding them of their responsibilities towards the nation. This was followed by our Headmistress of Dosti, Tarannum Aunty blessing the children.
The Headmistress of Junior School, Bani Aunty applauded the children for their brilliant performances and wished them a bright future as the leaders of tomorrow.
