Science Day Celebration : Classrooms turn into laboratories
In the words of the great astrophysicist Carl Sagan, “Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge.”
28th February marked as the National Science Day is celebrated in the honour of CV Raman’s Nobel Prize winning discovery , ‘Raman Effect’ which revolutionized Physics forever. Study Hall, an adamant believer of triggering the imagination of students and discouraging cramming amongst its students, celebrated this day in its full glory by organizing a science fair for its young and inquisitive students to put forth their inventions by using the concepts taught in class. The purpose behind this fair was to encourage the youth to develop keen interest in science and realize its importance. The day proceeded with various students and teachers demonstrating science projects and innovations in all the classes, thus, putting their knowledge and imagination forth. All in all, this fantabulous afternoon ended with students marveling at each other’s work while learning a lot in the process without even knowing so.
All in all, it was a huge success.
National Science Day -2022
The National Science Day is a very special day for all of us. It is a day which is celebrated in India to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by the famous Nobel Prize winning Indian physicist, C. V. Raman. It was celebrated on the 28th of February, 2022 by the children of Junior School, Study Hall with great enthusiasm. The objective was to create awareness about the contribution of our Indian scientists and also to promote the scientific temperament among students at a very young age.
The teachers as well as the children conducted various experiments that related science to their everyday lives. The classrooms were turned into laboratories as the children observed the marvels of Science. The teachers highlighted the importance of Science in our daily lives and encouraged the children to see, think and wonder.
The teachers put in a lot of hard work to make this program a resounding success. The National Science Day celebration was a great experience. Looking forward to being the future scientists who would take India to great heights, the children clearly understood their responsibility towards their beloved country. We are proud to mention here that they came up with several interesting questions that arose in their minds after observing the experiments. We hope that they will continue to seek answers to their questions.
