Class 8 A presented a special assembly on 20th July, 2022, to celebrate The World Chess Day.
The students explained the game in the form of a skit. The history of chess in India was also told. Some of the students carried the placards of the various pieces of chess to familiarise the audience of the chess pieces.
The main attraction of the assembly was the movement of the various chess pieces depicted by the students on music.
Some important, unknown facts related to Chess were also presented by the class.
‘My Opening Overture ‘ a poem summarising the whole act was recited by all the students.
The assembly concluded with a famous couplet ” प्यादे की बली और वज़ीर के साथ धोखा होता है, जिंदगी की तरह यह खेल भी अनोखा होता है।”
