The Global Tiger Day was celebrated on the 29th of July, 2022 by the children of Junior School, Study Hall with great enthusiasm. A Special Assembly was conducted by the students of Class 5, highlighting the importance of the need to ‘Save the Tiger’. We are proud to mention here that the children put in a lot of hard work to make this program a resounding success.
The programme began with a prayer which was followed by the speeches delivered by the children who highlighted the importance of the tiger which is the symbol of the country’s strength, pride, vigilance, intelligence and endurance.
Six interesting self composed poems in Hindi on the importance of the need to save the national animal of India, were recited by the children.
This was followed by a mind blowing performance in the form of a play based on the theme, ‘Save the Tiger’, which truly mesmerized the audience. The children understood that even though they were young children, they too could make their contribution to this campaign.
A melodious song ‘Aao Chalo Hum Bagh Bachaayein’, sung by the children, touched the hearts of the audience.
A PPT on several interesting facts about the tiger was played; which aroused feelings of amazement in the audience.
Another interesting poem about a tiger’s visit to the city, was recited enthusiastically by the twins from Class 5.
A student of Class 5 led the audience to take a pledge to take care of the environment as well as to save the tiger and its habitat.
The programme was concluded by our Principal, Meenakshi Bahadur Aunty blessing the children and reminding them of their responsibilities towards the conservation of nature. This was followed by our Headmistress, Bani Aunty praising the children for their hard work.
