The World Environment Day was celebrated on the 5th of June, 2021 by the children of Junior School, Study Hall with great enthusiasm. A Special Assembly was conducted on Zoom by the students of Class 5, highlighting their responsibilities towards the environment.
The programme began with a prayer which was followed by a child who shared the History of the World Environment Day and its significance.
A Yoga session conducted by a student helped us to understand the benefits of Pranayam.
A video of the Green Anthem was played which led to a thought provoking discussion between two children. They enumerated ways in which we could make our environment green and clean.
A heart warming poem on the environment was recited by a child. This led to a brainstorming session which provoked the panelists to put up several questions to the audience.
A student of Class 5 led the audience to take a pledge to save our planet, Earth. The programme was concluded by our dear Urvashi Aunty praising the children’s efforts and reminding them of their responsibilities towards the environment. This was followed by our Principal, Meenakshi Aunty and our Headmistress, Bani Aunty blessing the children.
