Study Hall school hosted the much- awaited Investiture Ceremony of the Student Council on Wednesday, 15th September 2021. The day began with heavy winds and a light drizzle, with some luck perhaps, the sky cleared as the students assembled on the ground in their respective positions. As the drum beats echoed throughout the school, the new to-be-invested cabinet marched across the crowd of proud parents all the way to the stage where they halted with elite elegance. The host of the day Mrs Ritika Asrani welcomed everyone. First, she called upon the Principal, Mrs Meenakshi Bahadur to honor the proud recipients with their badges. One by one, marched up the Head Boy- Nishant Misra followed by the Head Girl -Ridhhi Uppal then the Vice Head Boy- Nishchal Srivastava and finally the Vice Head Girl- Kavisha Masand. Quick in succession, came the Sports Captains- Sidhharth Shah and Radhika Shukla, and the Vice Sports Captains- Kapil Yadav and Vrindaa Parashar. Afterwards, the Vice Principal, Mrs. Meenakshi Shah was called upon to present the honours to the Hindi Editors,-Hariom Singh and Rida Fatima followed by the English Editors- Arman Yusuf and Anoushka Mathur followed by the Inter-School Coordinators-Mohammad Ashhar Mehdi, Aarushi Sharma, Divyanshi Kaul and Abhuudit Singh. Then, for the first time ever, in the challenging digital era of Covid, a new technical team appointed to oversee the digital events comprising Shivansh Singh and Tanushree Ghosh was invited on stage. Next in line were the official photographers- Aryan Kacker and Jigisha Singh. Continuing on with the event, the investiture of the captains of the four esteemed houses of Study Hall was done by the respective House Masters/Mistresses and the senior most teachers of the house alike. Beginning with the Yellow Cypress House, the new house captains were Satyam Singh and Fariha Rahman with the Vice House Captains, Dron Pande and Aadrika Dikshit. Moving on to the Red Fireflame House, the new house captains were Haleema Nisar and Kashvi Srivastava with the Vice House Captains, Anshumaan Vikram Singh and Devanshi Chandwani. In the Jacaranda House, the new house captains were Adhiraj Pratap Singh and Ilma Abbasi with the Vice House Captains, Advait Mishra and Ritwika Sinha. Last but not the least was the Silveroak House, the new house captains were Devansh Mishra and Vani Krishna with the Vice House Captains, Prabuddh Dubey and Nimra Junaid. With the glistening sashes and badges in place, the council was invited to take the oath of service. After the principal’s speech of blessings and good luck, the four heads of the school student council spoke on the occasion. Following them, the parents were also invited to say a few words. In the end, the Principal, Vice Principal, the council members along with the sports teachers-Mr. Raj Kumar Dubey and Mrs. Preeti Singh were invited to participate in the annual tradition of releasing the colourful balloons in the air. With a single drum beat, the whole gathering came to a standstill for the singing of the National Anthem as the Flags of the school and the Houses were fluttering high up in the sky. The ceremony ended on a solemn note with the Thanks giving by The Vice Principal, Mrs. Meenakshi Shah.
