Lucknow, December 13: Study Hall Junior School held its biennial Sports Day, Kaleidoscope, on Saturday afternoon at the grounds of Central Sanskrit University, Lucknow. The event brought together students, parents, and staff in a celebration of physical activity, participation, and teamwork. The chief guests, Mr Vishal Vikram Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police, STF, UP Police, and Mrs Singh, inaugurated the programme by releasing balloons.
Principal Meenakshi Bahadur and Headmistress Bani Malhotra welcomed the audience and introduced the theme of the event. Explaining the significance of Kaleidoscope, Bani Malhotra, Headmistress, Study Hall Junior School, said, “As Study Hall marks 40 years of meaningful education, the ‘Kaleidoscope’ theme reflects the heart of our journey. Just as a kaleidoscope creates multiple patterns from simple elements, our school has, over four decades, recognised and celebrated the uniqueness of every child, bringing together diverse talents and perspectives within an inclusive learning community.”
Founder and CEO of Study Hall Educational Foundation, Dr. Urvashi Sahni, said, “As Study Hall completes forty years, we reaffirm a belief that has shaped every aspect of our work—that joyful learning and strong academics go hand in hand. Childhood is not a preparation for adulthood, but a celebration of life in the present. We see children not as adults-in-the-making, but as whole human beings whose voices and experiences matter. When children come to us, they are yours at home and ours in school, and together we share the responsibility of nurturing their curiosity, dignity, and confidence.”
Students of Classes 4 and 5 presented coordinated drills titled “Tile Tastic” and “Whispers of White”. This was followed by a March Past by the four school houses of Classes 4 and 5, representing the school’s ethos of care and unity. A yoga presentation highlighted the Indian knowledge system, and a choral performance accompanied the field displays.
Track events for students of Classes 1, 2, and 3 were held throughout the programme. Fun races were also organised for parents, with students cheering from the sidelines. Grandparents participated in selected activities, adding to the intergenerational nature of the event. The programme concluded with a performance by students of Classes 1 and 2, followed by an appearance by Santa Claus, marking the end of the event.
