Batch: 2014 Study Hall School
Higher Education: B.Tech(CSE), JIIT, Noida
Employment History: Senior Software Engineer, magicpin (Samast Technologies) (2020-Present) Previously Software Engineer, Smartprix (2018-2019)

In his own words....

I've been just an average person for most parts of my younger life until I joined Study Hall. For the timid boy that I was, Study Hall became a turning point in my life.
After passing my school, and cracking JEE(mains), I did my B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from  Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) and although I learnt a lot from my college mostly professionally, I evolved into a confident person who doesn't hesitate to speak the right thing loudly, while also not being restrained from being curious and asking the real questions. The nourishing environment that Study Hall offered, made me comfortable and metamorphosed me from just another student to the person that I am today. I currently work as a Senior Software Engineer at magicpin and previously I've worked as a Software Engineer in startups like Smartprix and Moldedbits. I aimed for the learning aspect above everything else, especially in the early phase of my career and I discovered that Startup companies are just the right path. You can really learn from the ground level experience how an organisation or a company is built and you have a direct say in the process which is an invaluable learning experience. The sense of ownership goes sky high and you tend to feel like an important stakeholder in your company. In that process, I've built numerous features and products like the magicpin app and the smartprix app. For instance, I developed magicpin's home delivery feature for grocery, pharmacy, food, fashion etc. during the COVID lockdown times which not only helped the customers but also helped the small scale shops and stores that were facing huge losses due to the calamity. We found this big problem and solved it immediately. The clarity and the freedom of thoughts and expressions that I got in my school days helped in choosing my future path both personal & professional. A few things that I've learnt in my experience is that do what you love and love whatever you do. Give the best  possible respect for the work you do, it deserves it and soon you'll reap its reward. Even if things go down, If you feel down, just never stop believing in yourself and your potential. My school and my amazing teachers taught me to always compete with myself and not the world, and never get afraid of falling, just give your best shot, your 100% for whatever you do and you're the winner irrespective of the literal outcome. Each and every experience in your life is an experience which was meant for your glorious purpose, be it good or bad, it's in your best interest. It may be a cliche but then your success story will always be only your success story.

Employment History: Associate Academic Director LEAD School

In her own words....

In her own words "Study Hall was a life altering decision for me. I not only changed my board, I was also given the opportunity to see what a holistic schooling looks like. I not only excelled at academics but also was able to hone my skills as an artist, as a leader and become a confident person. My teachers played a big role in ensuring I push my boundaries not only in academics but also co curricular activities.
I spent 6yrs in SH and these years became the stepping stone for me into my future. I got into the the college I wanted to, I chose the field of study as a humanities student and pursued my career in the education sector. Today, I work in the field of education and I did not just land here but I chose to be here. I knew what difference can a school make in a child’s life. I knew what kind of a teacher and educator I wanted to be. I believed in excellent education and how does it transform into actions because that’s what I got while growing up in Study Hall. I am thankful to all my teachers, peers, friends and Urvashi Aunty and the entire school management for the support I received .

Gauri Pandey

Batch: 2016

In her own words....

If anybody would ask me where I went for school, I'd say I m a pure "Study Hall-ian". It gave me immense joy in telling the world that i grew up in an environment where I could dream. We'd count the number of stars in our worksheets, which motivated us in a way.
All these memories and many more made Study Hall not just a place of study for me, but, a second home. I dreamt of becoming a doctor when I was a little girl. I appeared for the state pre medical test in 2015 and secured a rank of 734 and completed my MBBS from the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai. Then served in the pandemic during my internship in the same institution twice- once in the COVID holding area and then in the ICU . Recently, I got through national eligibility entrance test for post graduation (NEET-PG) with an All India Rank under 5K. A big thanks to all my lovely "aunties" - as we lovingly called our school teachers - for their love, teachings and patience, and, a huge shout-out to our founder Dr. Urvashi Sahni for creating an environment where children can dream!
