WORLD RIVERS DAY
The children of Class 4 conducted an interactive assembly to celebrate the World Rivers Day. They were divided into groups and the students used the stage and the volleyball court as their canvas to draw the journey of River Ganga from its source, the Gangotri glacier till it falls into the Bay of Bengal forming the Sunderban Delta. The children marked the important cities on the banks of River Ganga and the states it passes through. They also shared some interesting facts about the River Ganga. They discussed the ills of Water Pollution and suggested remedies to save our rivers. The students of class 1-5 enthusiastically answered the questions asked by the students of class 4.
Later, the children of Class 4 visited all the classes in the junior school and shared some interesting information about the rivers of the world. All the students drew pictures of rivers and life in and around them, in their Art files.
In the end, the students wrote a pledge on how they would save the rivers.
