International Women’s Day, 8th March
Celebrating womanhood and acknowledging and appreciating the role of women in reference to modernism was the topic of an engaging and lively discourse held on the occasion of International women’s Day at Study Hall.
The session was hosted by Bhartendu sir, who recited extracts from literature to highlight the challenges which women have been facing since ages.
The recitations were followed by an insightful discussion which emphasized on the importance of challenging gender norms and stereotypes and also recognising men as allies in creating a gender equal society.
Overall it was an engrossing and stimulating session and it concluded with the realisation that only a collective effort can lead to the creation of an egalitarian society.
