The Investiture Ceremony

The Investiture Ceremony held at Study Hall on 4th May 2024, marked a significant occasion where badges of leadership positions were bestowed upon 42 deserving students, including those from the 8th grade. The ceremony commenced with an air of anticipation and excitement as students, parents, teachers, and Heads of the different units of SHEF gathered to witness the formal recognition of leadership and responsibility within the school community.
The ceremony began with a procession of the student council members, creating a solemn atmosphere resonating with the gravity of the occasion.
The Principal, Mrs. Meenakshi Bahadur and Vice Principal, Mrs. Meenakshi Shah, individually presented badges, sashes and flags to the appointed leaders, amidst thunderous applause and cheers from their peers. The House Masters of the four houses presented badges and flags to their respective House Captains and Vice Captains, each badge symbolizing not only a position of authority but also a commitment to serve, inspire, and lead by example.
A poignant moment of the ceremony occurred when the Principal led the students in reciting the pledge, a solemn commitment to uphold the principles of leadership, integrity, and service. As one unified voice, students echoed the pledge, symbolizing their dedication to the school’s mission and vision
The Principal, Mrs. Meenakshi Bahadur also delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of leadership, service, and commitment to excellence. She underscored the role of the investiture ceremony in not only honoring the selected students, but also in charging them with the responsibility to uphold the values and ideals of the institution.
A highlight of the ceremony was the heartfelt speeches delivered by the newly appointed Head Boy, Kriday Sachdeva and Head Girl, Eva Roy, both of who eloquently expressed their gratitude for the trust placed in them by the school community. Their speeches resonated with themes of unity, service, and the power of collective action. The Head Boy emphasized the need for collaboration and inclusivity. The Head Girl echoed sentiments of responsibility, and promised to uphold and act upon the ideals of our school vision. As leaders, both reiterated their duty to serve as role models and advocates for positive change within the school and beyond.
The Investiture Ceremony served as a poignant reminder of the potential inherent in each student to effect positive change and contribute meaningfully to the fabric of society.
